Sunday Round-up : 26th Jan – 1st Feb 2015

feeismsSUNDAYRUPIt’s Sunday, and that means that it is time for another Sunday Round Up. If you want to share your week, then pop on over to our host at feeisms.com to sign up.

I feel like I have not much to write about this week. Nothing much has been happening. I have a much busier week coming up so that will hopefully be a little more interesting for people to read!

Monday

I had a massive to do list so after dropping Robert at work and picking up a few bits and pieces from the shops I headed home to get stuck into my list! I felt like I wasn’t achieving all that much, but it does seem to be going down fairly quickly so I must have just gotten bogged down on something time-consuming!

Tuesday

I was supposed to be going to the circus today with NAS, but I felt awful so I ended up staying home. I did get through quite a lot of work though even although I didn’t feel too great. Robert has been off sick so he was here which was nice for the company.

Wednesday

It was very much a movie day today! We watched Mortal Instruments, Maleficent and Occulus! It snowed heavily today so we took Rogue out to play in the snow for a little while! Chris was doing a University visit today through school and he really enjoyed it. It scares me to think he will soon be considering these choices! My baby is becoming so grown up!

Thursday

Today I did my monthly cooking day. I made a total of 21 meals to freeze making our dinner choices so much easier! It is hard work, but It is worth it in the long run to just be able to pull something from the freezer!

Friday

It was Slimming World day today, so I knocked out some work before going to class and then a few more articles in the evening before dropping Chris at Scouts. Once he was home we went to bed early and watched more of Supernatural. We are almost done with season 5 now! Chris was at a college taster today and he also received his scholarship letter for Outward Bound. The good news is that he has until 2018 to use it so we need not panic!

Saturday

Started off with a lazy day today still in my jammies when it reached 4pm, but then I was forced to go shopping! I was craving burgers for dinner so I got Slimming World friendly ones and filled up the car with petrol since we have a lot of travelling next week that we need to do! I did a workout when we got back in and then made dinner. Mostly I just did some blogging and a little work even although it is the weekend – it’s due so needs must!

Sunday

It’s Sunday which means that it is basketball day!! Training this morning then an away game with the Junior team in the afternoon. It’s my mother in law’s birthday on Thursday so we had Chinese for dinner.

Sunday Round-up : 19th – 25th January 2015

feeismsSUNDAYRUPIt’s Sunday, and that means that it is time for another Sunday Round Up. If you want to share your week, then pop on over to our host at feeisms.com to sign up.

It’s been a bit of a lazy week for me. I’ve still finished up quite a bit of work, but I’ve been slobbing around way more than I probably should have! I must be more active next week!!

Monday

Today was mostly just work. I have a huge to do list this week and I felt like I wasn’t achieving much, but I seemed to get alot crossed off. I think it was just that I had a few big things that seemed to take forever, but I got a few little bits caught up as well. I had basketball wit hChris tonight and it was a really bad game. They should have won but everyone seemed to be off their game tonight and it was messy!

Tuesday

It was freezing cold today. I spent most of it curled up in a blanket! I had definitely declared a jammie day! I decamped from my desk to the couch and stuck Gossip Girl on while I worked. I am fairly happy with what I managed to get done today. After dinner I went through to my bed and did a few pages of my Smash  Book. I am really getting into it and am desparate to order some goodies! When Robbie came through we watched the rest of Season 3 of Supernatural. The new season (9 in the UK as we are a year behind) started tonight, but I kind of want to finish rewatching before watching it!

Wednesday

I still can’t believe how cold it is today. I have the heat cranked up and a sweater and my blanket, but I am still freezing. I have finished rewatching Gossip Girl, so I started on Pretty Little Liars since I know a lot of people who love both the books and the show! However, I’m not really loving it! I think I’ll just go back to my old faithful – Ghost Adventures! Not much happening today apart from work, but I have been doing some smashbooking lately.

Thursday

I have been struggling with my diet this past week, so I decided to go to the supermarket just to buy lots of snack stuff like fruit, meat and fish that I can eat between meals. When I got in the car I ended up heading out to The Fort to hit Hobbycraft since they were meant to have a Smashbook sale on. I popped into TK Maxx first and picked up some postcards, a cute pack of sticky note journal cards and a paperpack from My Mind’s Eye which is my favourite craft brand. I was dissapointed to find no smash section in my local hobbycraft! However they had christmas stuff on sale and I picked up a few bits of washi, lettering etc tht could work all year round! Then I swung by Tesco and lucked out at the reduced counter and loaded my fridge with cherries, peaches, strawberries and more!

Friday

I had a bit of a disjointed day today. I had a meeting in the morning to look at some office premises for NAS, then it was weigh in day. I came home and had something to eat and then took Chris to a meeting at Scouts. Afterwards we watched Supernatural until about 1am while I did some smashbooking.

Saturday

Today was a bit of a lazy day, I stayed in my jammies until 5pm when we headed out to Tesco to pick up some chicken and stuff for dinner. We all had our own favourite meal tonight becasue no one wanted real dinner! I had spinach and orange salad with honey garlic prawns and betroot. Robbie had rotisserie chicken and Chris had cocktail sausages and leerdammer cheese! Even Rogue got a treat with some cookies and a doggy casserole! I got some Happy Mail from the USA today with masses of goodies in it!

Sunday

Today’s game was cancelled so Chris had a late practice with the Junior team. It did mean a minor lie in which was fantastic! THen we just hung out at Robbie’s mum’s house and had dinner before heading home to veg out in front of the television.

How has your week been?

Sunday Round-up : 12th – 18th January 2015

feeismsSUNDAYRUPIt’s Sunday, and that means that it is time for another Sunday Round Up. If you want to share your week, then pop on over to our host at feeisms.com to sign up. It’s been a strange week for me. Chris was away on holiday with school all week so I had no running around to do. I had big plans, but the week seemed to just pass in a blur! I watched alot of movies and did a lot of work. I am epically failing at getting my work completed on time.

Monday

Chris had to go to school at 7am today to go on his outward bound trip. It was really snowy this morning so I spent most of the day curled up in my jammies doing some work. We took the dog for a walk in the snow – in my jammies cos that’s how I roll! Then we watched The Purge : Anarchy. I posed the question… why did so many people go grocery shopping at T-minus one hour until purge? WTF people?

Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday

I pretty much forget what I did these two days, but I assume it was work, walking the dog and movies! We have pretty much watched movies most days this week since I have a week off from Basketball with Chris away on his trip.

Friday

It was pretty snowy today, in fact heading to my Slimming World class I was worried I would have to turn back, but it cleared up. The heavier snow didn’t come on a until a little later. We headed out into the woods with Rogue to play and he loved it. He adores the snow! Chris came back from his trip to Outward Bound in the highlands around 6pm. It was touch and go whether or not they would be allowed to come home due to the snow, but they made it. He had a fantastic time, and has been offered a scholarship to return in the summer. However, it is still £800 after the scholarship, so we will need to see if the school can sponsor him.

Saturday

We had to head over to Jordanhill for a cup game against Glasgow Rocks. We wwere pretty dissapointed that only 4 players plus one under 14 player turned up claiming snow problems, but the one player who lives way out in the country where there was 2 feet of snow managed just fine – go figure! They boys had to play the full game without any subs and it showed. There was never any real chance of them winning under those conditions even although they have beat the team before. They did play really well though. Chris got an injury in the last few minutes when an opposing player stamped on his ankle, but thankfully it was just some deep bruising. I think it felt worse at the time becasue he was exhausted. He did manage to score his two free throws from the unsportsman like foul called on the incident standing on one leg though!

Sunday

Basketball training for the under 16 team was cancelled as their coach couldn’t get her car out becasue of snow, so Chris headed to the under 18 practice instead which was actually in my old school. I decided just to wait as I had my laptop with me and got a bunch of work done. There was a lot of snow during the night, but our area isn’t all that bad really and I was able to drive to practice easily. I think tonight we will be watching Movies and relaxing.

Sunday Round-Up : 5th – 11th January 2015

feeismsSUNDAYRUPIt’s time for another Sunday round-up! I am determined that 2015 will be the year that I get it all together! We are talking weight, fitness, health, finances and organization! I think I might be becoming a grown up! If you want to join in the ~Sunday Round-up Linky then head over to our host at www.feeisms.com. In the mean time, this is what my week looked liked!

Monday

It was back to work and school for us all today. I did not sleep well at all on Sunday night so it wasn’t the best start. However, I got up and after dropping Robbie at the station I came home to get started on some work. I managed to complete around 50% of my to do list plus some bits and pieces that weren’t on the list. I did end up working into the evening, but Rome wasn’t built in a day. I am working on it! Chris had basketball training in the evening and then after that me and Robbie watched a few episodes of Arrow (taking a break from our Supernatural marathon!).

Tuesday

I had my monthly meeting for NAS (the charity that I am involved with) so I headed up to that and we got lots for this year. Afterwards, my sister and I went to the movies to see The Woman in Black 2 : Angel of Death which was good fun. It was very creepy and a little scarier than the first one.

Wednesday & Thursday

Not much to report on these two days, it pretty much seemed like work, work and more work!

Friday

My sister and I went along to join Slimming World this morning as part of our pledge to start losing weight this year. It was a nice class and we are both excited about it. The weather has been awful thanks to the storm last night and there are a lot of trees down, but no damage to our house or car thankfully.

Saturday

I can only describe Saturday as being a lazy day! None of us even bothered to get dressed and we just lounged around watching television, playing video games and messing around online. I even walked the dog in my pjs! I got Chris to pack up most of his stuff for his trip with school next week.

Sunday

We had a busy little day yesterday. Starting out with Basketball. We had a game in the National Leauge and managed to pick up the win so that was great and it is the team’s first national win so far! We also found out that the local leauge player rankings have now been calculated and Chris is ranked #8 for Cadet’s.  I’m not sure about Junior’s as he wasn’t in the top 10 and that is all that they publish. We had dinner at Robert’s mum’s as usual and then Chris finished getting ready for a week away with school. Robert and I sat down to watch a movie called The Dorm which was pretty good.

How has your week been?

Sunday Round-up : 29th Dec 2014 – 4th Jan 2015

feeismsSUNDAYRUPSo it’s already a week into 2015 and I am upset that we don’t have hover boards and self lacing shoes like Back to the Future 2 promised me! This week’s Sunday round up features a return to the usual endless round of Basketball related activities and finish off an enjoyable Christmas break. If you want to take part in the Sunday Round Up, then head on over to Feeisms to sign up!

Monday

Today we decided that we would finally go to see The Hobbit : Battle of The Five Armies. We had decided to go to the 1.30pm showing, but all slept late and were mooching around doing things. Robbie was playing on his Playstation 4, Chris was snoozing and I was messing around on Vigilant Citizen! I am by no means a conspiracy theorist, but I like to read all the illuminati theories! We quickly got dressed and headed out to the movie, promptly getting stuck in a traffic jam due to an accident on the motorway. We ended up getting there with a few minutes to spare and since we hadn’t even eaten we got popcorn, ice blasts and hotdogs. I loved the film! When we got home we just messed around a little bit and then watched some more of Supernatural. That is us almost done with season one already.

Tuesday

I woke up feeling really crappy today. I think I have some kind of head cold or flu – hopefully not Ebola since our first case was just confirmed in Glasgow! It was always going to be a lazy day anyway so I am staying in my jammies, wrapped in my cloud blanket and watching crap on tv! We just watched Godzilla which was pretty good. I’m starting back on my diet plans in a couple of days, so we are also grazing our way through the last of the holiday foods like fancy cheese and sweeties! We finished off season one of Supernatural and got started on season two!

New Year’s Eve

I have no particular plans for Hogmany. I still feel pretty sick, so we are not going to be going out or anything. I think that as I have gotten older, new year has lost some of its magic. People don’t celebrate it like they used to. I think we will have a little toast at midnight with some cider and that will be it. I am doing a little bit of work that a client needed urgently and then I guess I will finish tidying out my computer and hopefully get set up for my smash book. I have nothing even in for the bells, so I threw together some muffins and crackers with pate. We are so rovk n roll in this house!

New Year’s Day

It’s been a fairly quiet day today. We headed round to my mother-in-laws for the traditional steak pie dinner we have every new year and I bakes her a chocolate walnut sponge. Something went a little wrong and the chocolate somehow sunk to the bottom and made a cookie like layer at the base of the sponge. It was delicious and I can probably never achieve it again!! Robbie has a headache so he headed to bed around 7pm and left me to watch Gossip Girl and get ahead on some blogging!

Friday

I spent most of the day smashbooking and just relaxing. Then in the evening we went out for a while to see some friends and had take out pizzas and lots of wine! We got home around 2am and weren’t particularly tired so we ended up watching a few episodes of Supernatural instead of going straight to sleep.

Saturday

A lazy day today! I couldn’t drive until later in the afternoon because of last nights wine and the new lower alcohol limits here for driving which means having to be much more careful the morning after. We just hung out watching tv and messing around online. I lined up some swaps and RAKS from my smashbook group as well. We drove over to McDonalds for dinner since I am going hardcore with my weight loss on Monday and mostly because the McRib is back. Call me a weirdo, but the McRib is my favourite sandwich and it hasn’t been available in the UK since 1998! It was every bit as delicious as I remember!

Sunday

We got a text from coach last night that training was starting back today, but at the slightly later time of noon until 2pm. I didn’t set the alarm figuring that it would be fine. Rogue woke us up about 9am and came to cuddle and we all fell asleep again! I woke up around 10am to take him out to go potty and when we came back in I ended up snuggling back under the covers with him and falling asleep again! I woke up finally at 11.15am and had to do a mad dash to get Chris up and get us up to his training session in time! The rest of the day we have just been hanging out at my Mother-in-Law’s. After dinner we will head home to start preparing for back to school/work tomorrow!

How has your start to 2015 been?

Sunday Round-up : 22 – 28 December 2014

feeismsSUNDAYRUPChristmas has been and gone and as usual it feels as though there has been so much build up and then it is all over so quickly. The one big difference is that this year, it seems like I had the chance to actually enjoy myself. I am thankful to have almost 2 weeks free from work. There are the odd bits and pieces that I have had to take care of, but for the most part I do seem to have managed to take a break and relax. It makes me more determined than ever to get a proper schedule in place for the coming year. I want more time to myself!

Monday

Today was the day for last minute shopping! I thought I was done but there were still a couple of things that I had to sort out so when I dropped Robbie at the train station I headed out to The Fort Shopping Park to pick up some last minute items. It was much quieter than I had imagined it was going to be! I also picked up some supplies for myself to make my own smash book in the new year. That’s something that I will talk more about over on ‘A Little Less of Tyger’ since it is going to be a weight loss book. I finished up the rest of the gift wrapping too and did some housework.. I blogged earlier in the week about the tragic accident in Glasgow that happened today which has really made everyone locally stop and appreciate outr loved ones this Christmas.

Tuesday

Today was a baking day! I am in charge of the deserts for Christmas so I am making Christmas cake, Tiramisu, Prosecco Mousse and Baklava. That meant a whole day in the kitchen! I also spent some time cleaning up around the house and packing for our couple of days away at my mother-in-law’s house over the holidays.

Christmas Eve

Chris had no school today, so he just spent his time relaxing. I picked Robbie up early from work and we headed up to his mum’s around 3.30pm. We ordered in Indian take-out for dinner, which turned out to be a bad idea since it made my gallstones flare up, bug time!

Christmas Day

1924374_10204458635999235_1923077937536798005_nChristmas Day was relaxing. We just hung out at my Mother-in-laws, opening our gifts and having a big Christmas lunch before settling down to watch television and some movies. I got lots of lovely presents from the family and was totally spoiled rotten. My favourite presents included a SB7-SpiritBox which I have wanted forever, a Groot bobble-head and a super soft hooded blanket which I can only describe as like being wrapped in a little fluffy cloud!

Boxing Day

Another relaxing day. After an early dinner it was time to drive back home with the car loaded up with all of our goodies! It was nice to be back home in our own beds – in fact, it was so nice that Robbie and I were in bed by 5.30pm watching his new box set of seasons 1-8 of Supernatural. Surrounded by pringles, nuts and sweetiews of course!

Saturday 27th

Today we wanted to visit my side of the family so we drove over to visit one of my older sisters and her family. My mum stayed with her over Christmas so it was a good opportunity for us to drive her back home since she lives in a little village in the back of beyond. My niece was coming home with her too so we had a full car! My mum treated us to chinese for dinner and then we drove home and settled down in front of some more episodes of Supernatural.

Sunday 28th

Today, much like all of the other Sunday’s in my life is full of Basketball! Although training is off, one of Chris’s gifts was a one day training camp with the local professional team Glasgow Rocks followed by tickets to the game. It’s something we do every year and I like this time together with Chris.

Sunday Round-up 8-15 December

feeismsSUNDAYRUPAnother week and it seems as though Christmas is approaching at break neck speed! I don’t know where 2014 has gone! It is crazy! I only wish I had started these round-ups a little bit earlier in the year so that I would have something more to look back on and think, okay maybe I did actually get something achieved this year! Life at the moment seems to be one long round of shopping and basketball!

Monday

Chris was up all night last night so we kept him off school. He seemed to get better so I let him head to basketball for a game against the league leaders. Needless to say the did not do too well. I should have kept him off, as he seems worse so I guess he is taking the week off school.

Tuesday

I had to go out today to the David Livingstone Centre. It’s still super spooky in there and the toilet is still haunted! We are hosting an event there in March! I’ve been ghost hunting there and there was lots of going on including some very menacing shadow men!

Wednesday

I have no recollection of what I was doing on Wednesday other than working! I do know that was the first day of the ‘Weather Bomb’ and we had snow, hail, thunder, lightning and sun!

Thursday

We went out to dinner tonight at a local pub and I had an amazing T-bone steak! It was seriously amazing! That’s all I can think about for today!

Friday

It was parents night at Scouts tonight so we headed along to that. It only took an hour or so. A rep from the local Salvation Army came by to pick up food donations and shoebox gifts for the homeless. We did ours for a little girl age 5 to 9 so I filled it with hair accessories, colouring books and some little dolls.

Saturday

Saturday seemed a little like a wasted day actually. Chris was supposed to be officiating at a Junior Women’s match, but when we arrived it had been cancelled since the other team never showed up! So we ended up heading over to the retail park to get a new harness for Rogue since he snapped his and then going to KFC for lunch. In the evening I took Chris to his Basketball Bowling Event which they do each Christmas. His team won so they were pretty glad about that!

Sunday

Busy day today! Chris had basketball training in the morning and then we were at the pantomime for the matinee performance. We were supposed to head to a game in Troon after that, but it got cancelled since the team withdrew from the league and then to round it off Chris tabled at a game last night. I am so tired today!

Sunday Round-Up : 1 – 7 December 2014

feeismsSUNDAYRUPIt’s Sunday again and that means it is time for another Sunday Round Up! We are powering into the Christmas season and things are starting to get festive around here! These round up posts as it helps to see that you are actually achieving stuff rather than just letting time fly by! If you want to get in on the action, then pop over and see Fee at Feeisms.com and sign up with Sunday Round Up.

Monday

We spent most of the day doing some housework in preparation for our inspection this week. We have basically cleaned our house from top to bottom in the past few days! I threw away loads of things as well! Then we headed out to basketball for a game against Chryston Cougars. They played a friendly against them a while ago and were beaten by more than 50 points so it was great to see them pull up their socks a little and lost by only 9 points.  The team gets stronger every week.

Tuesday

Today was out monthly hub meeting for the charity that I am involved with (NAS South Lanarkshire) and since it was our last one before Christmas we decided to have a carvery lunch as well!

Wednesday

It was back to the doctor today to have my head looked at again. It is still leaking so I have another course of antibiotics just to make sure it clears up by the time I get my date for the surgical removal. He also expressed a little more from it! Then we headed over to the shopping precinct to pick up a few bits and pieces for Christmas. My Mother-in-Law came home with me to help clean for tomorrows inspection.

Thursday

It was our bi-annual house inspection today so we had to wait for them to arrive. Thankfully although the window was 9am to 5pm they arrived around noon so afterwards we went out to lunch at the Chinese buffet!

Friday

Mostly I have just been catching up on some work and doing some Christmas shopping online. I had to collect Chris from Scouts and then we watched a movie – I, Frankenstein.

Saturday

Today, we headed into the city to do some Christmas shopping. It was fairly busy and the queues were long, but we still managed to get pretty much everything. It seems strange to not spend most of my money in the toy store, but Chris wants clothes and video games this year! Apart from Lego – you never get too big for Lego! In the evening I put up the Christmas Tree.

Sunday

It was an unexpected long lie this week since basketball training was moved from 10am to noon, plus it was in a closer town! Afterwards Chris was working at the Christmas Fayre raising money for his Scouts. We came home and had take-away for dinner as it is Robert’s sister’s birthday. Tonight I intend to just chill out an maybe finish off my cards. I’ve not been sleeping and it feels like it has been a long week.

Sunday Round-Up : 24 – 30 November 2015

feeismsSUNDAYRUPIt’s Sunday again and that means it is time for another Sunday Round Up! I cannot believe that we are approaching December already! Where did my life go this year? It is all going so fast. I am actually really enjoying these round up posts as it helps to see that you are actually achieving stuff rather than just letting time fly by! If you want to get in on the action, then pop over and see Fee at Feeisms.com and sign up with Sunday Round Up.

Monday

Wow! I am so over this issue with my head! Last night it was so bad that Robert suggested that I go to casualty to have it looked as I was in so much pain that I could barely move my head and my entire neck was stiff. Both the receptionist and the nurse were incredibly rude to the point that I was actually in shock! The nurse refused to even examine me! I sat in the car park in tears afterwards! So this morning my mother-in-law called out GP surgery and begged for an appointment explaining what had happened (they had previously said they were booked for 3 weeks). I got in to see the doctor and he was appalled at how casualty had reacted. He began to examine the swelling which was now around 5 inches in diameter, then without warning he proceeded to drain the cyst. That mainly involved squeezing it, using tweezers to move away the skin and prodding it with needles! It hurt. A Lot! However, within a few minutes the pain was so much less and I finally felt a little more normal! He has referred me for a surgical removal as soon as it is healed. In the evening Chris had a basketball game against Ayr Storm and it was such an exciting game! It was hard fought with both teams neck and neck. It actually went down to an extra 2.5 minute period and our boys scored right on the buzzer to win the game! What started out as a crappy day got good in the end! We stopped by McDonald’s on the way home for celebratory snacks!

Tuesday

It seems like draining my cyst has really made a difference! I slept almost 12 hours last night and I have spent all day in my jammies doing odds and ends of work! It seems like I needed this time to recharge and reset! There is still some pain and I am ‘leaking’ at random intervals, but at least we are getting there!

Wednesday

Today was mostly just spent catching up on some bits and pieces of work here and there. I have some new work in for some new clients, so it’s been hard getting into the groove for them. I have to develop a new voice when writing for a new client and it takes time to get on the one that they actually want! In the evening I started making my Christmas cards and managed the first 14 out of 40 so that was a good number since I am aiming to complete them by December 7th!

Thursday

Today I have been powering through a lot of work while watching movies and TV. I did manage to complete a project which I always like and I have 2 more to complete by the weekend so I will need to get back into work again tomorrow! Today I watched my all time favourite Disney movie – Hercules! I also watched The Craft and a couple of TV shows. Then tonight me and Robert watched a few episodes of The Following. I found out today that our trip to Aberdeen with basketball this weekend is off, so that’s a bit of a relief!

Friday

Today has been a bit of a mixed day. I had big plans to finish up some projects for work and then get stuck into some cleaning around the house. However, we were dealt a bit of a blow regarding out Christmas spending money and I ended up spending all morning on that. I collected Robert from work at lunch and we headed to McDonalds to pick up food only to return to find that our dog had gotten into the kitchen and upended the bin leaving everything lying in the bedrooms and hall. It looks like I will be working my butt off all night long!

Saturday

Today I finished clearing out my bedroom, now there are just a few things to put away and straighten up and it will be all done! Next stop is the hall cupboards and the living room. I want to get my tree up by Tuesday if possible!

Sunday

This morning we were up early for Chris to go to basketball training and I had lots of work to catch up on so I spent some time working while he was at training. Then we went to my mother in laws house as we usually do on a Sunday. I kept working while Robert did some DIY around the house for her. This evening I had a chat with my mum and did some table officiating at a senior men’s cup game. It’s been a busy week with lots of ups and down!

Sunday Round-up : 17-23 November 2014

feeismsSUNDAYRUPIt’s Sunday again and that means it is time for another Sunday Round Up! I cannot believe that we are in the middle of November already!

Monday

As always, Monday is a basketball day. The Cadet men picked up a decent win against Glasgow Rocks, a team that used to beat them all the time last season. That places the boys 2nd in the local league which will give them a little bit of a boost.

Image1

Tuesday

Today I pretty much just spent the say hanging out at home watching TV and working. My head is really playing havoc on my ability to sleep and it is making me sad :(

Wednesday

This week has been heavy on the basketball and tonight we had an away game over in Knightswood. It was an unlucky loss – the Junior Men (Under 18) were playing Glasgow Rocks, a team that used to beat them all the time but who have gone down the rankings this season. We actually beat the Cadet Men (under 16) on Monday, but the Juniors had a couple of really tall guys which is something our team is lacking. The boys did manage to keep the score within 30 points which was good (last season they were routinely beaten 120-20 by this team!). I hate going out to that area of town because without fail, I get lost getting back on the motorway!

Thursday

Today was a lovely day. Chris is way too grown up to want to spend any time with his mama these days, so it is always fun when he does! We both wanted to go and see Mockingjay, so I picked him up at school and we headed over to the next town and grabbed some burgers for dinner at Chiquitos before heading in to see the movie. I really enjoyed it and cannot wait for the final part! I also did some shopping for a few Pinterest crafts for Christmas!

Friday

I have no idea what I did all day! I think I was napping because of my head! In the evening we went over to visit with my best friend as she had come into town to see her mum. I had a couple of drinks for the first time in ages since I didn’t have to drive too early.

Saturday

My head is still causing me a lot of pain, so I did spend a large portion of today napping and showering to ease the pain. My doctor won’t see me until 6th December so it is looking more and more likely that I am going to need to head to casualty some time next week! Chris’ girlfriend plays for the junior women’s team at his basketball club so he wanted to go watch her play this afternoon and ended up volunteering for table officiating duties so I went along and ended up doing some work in the sports centre foyer!

Sunday

Another basketball heavy day! Finally a Sunday where the team had training instead of a game in some far flung corner of the country! The Junior Men have a new coach and this was the first session with him. It’s actually a coach Chris has known for a few years through his old development program. It seemed to go fairly well.  Still nursing my extra head/brain slug so I lazed about the rest of the day doing some social media work for my other blogs. We are about to head out to a senior women’s game where we are officiating tonight!
